What is FREED?
FREED stands for First Episode Rapid Early Intervention for Eating Disorders. It is a service model and care package for 17.5 to 25-year-olds who have had an eating disorder for three years or less.
FREED is designed to give young people rapid access to specialised evidence-based treatment and support tailored to their needs.
Referrals to FREED can be made by GP or healthcare professional using the referral form on our homepage.
Although we do not currently accept self-referrals, you can find more information on seeking help for an eating disorder here: https://freedfromed.co.uk/guides/2/seeking-help
