Welcome to Oakwood Psychology Services
Stockport NHS
Adult Eating Disorder Service

We are a not-for-profit social enterprise, providing the NHS contract as the Stockport community adult eating disorders service.
We offer evidence-based psychological therapies for people whose primary mental health diagnosis is an eating disorder or ARFID.
Our service is for people aged 18+ living and/or registered with a GP within the Borough of Stockport (SK1 – SK8).
Referrals
Anyone of any gender, age, ethnicity, culture, race, sexual orientation, religion, or background can have an eating disorder. Unfortunately, the stereotype that eating disorders mostly occur in thin, white, cisgendered women creates a barrier for everyone needing support for an eating disorder.
At Oakwood Psychology Services, we recognise there are inequalities in the recognition and treatment of eating disorders for people with Black, brown and global majority identities, boys and men, and trans and non-binary people. Our team are passionate about providing fair and equal care for everyone referred to our service, while paying particular attention to experiences of marginalisation.

We accept referrals from physical and mental health professionals. We do not currently accept self-referrals.
