About me and my therapy practice
I have worked at Oakwood since 2009 and provide clinical leadership for both our community eating disorder service and Intensive Outpatient Programme for clients with severe and enduring eating disorders. I provide individual and group therapy sessions and also facilitate our monthly support group ‘Cherish’.
I am safeguarding lead and Caldicott Guardian for the service and additionally provide case management and mentorship for our trainee therapists. I also facilitate training courses and well being events.
Alongside my work at Oakwood, I am also an experienced child and adolescent therapist. I currently work within the education sector in a variety of Pupil Referral Units and schools, specialising in emotional, social and behavioural difficulties, complex trauma and attachment and sexualised behaviour in young people.
What I can help with
Depression, eating disorders, general counselling, identity problems, mental health issues, self esteem attachment, abuse, child and adolescent therapy, self-harm and trauma.
Types of therapy
I work as an integrative therapist, using various approaches to suit individual needs and am a firm believer that a positive therapeutic relationship is key to any treatment. Approaches include: CBT-E, creative therapy, dramatherapy, EMDR (eye movement desensitisation and re-processing) and family therapy.
