We are currently recruiting a part time volunteer receptionist/administrator to work with us six hours a week, on Tuesdays and Wednesday afternoons from 2 – 5 pm.

Duties include greeting clients, answering phones, handling enquiries, and light administration to support our therapists.

This post particularly suits mature students looking to gain experience in a counselling setting.

Suitable candidates are courteous, friendly and caring helpers who get on well with people from diverse backgrounds. Previous administration experience desirable but not required.

Application deadline: 28th September 2018. Suitable candidates will be invited to an informal interview. The successful candidate will be required to undertake identity and DBS checks, and training in safeguarding and first aid (paid for by Oakwood Psychology Services).

Ongoing volunteer opportunities:

Knitting, crochet and/or needlepoint instructor required, 1-2 hours a week. DBS check essential and experience of working with vulnerable adults desirable.

We are also currently looking for volunteers to run weekly activities, such as arts and crafts, calligraphy, poetry club, patchwork or similar. If you have any skills or interests that you would like to share and can spare an hour or so per week, we would love to hear from you. All volunteers will need a DBS check, although we can discuss this when you enquire.
