If you are a person who cares about someone who is affected by an eating disorder, you are likely to experience various sorts of stress and may feel unsure of how to help your loved one.

Oakwood Psychology Services, with help from funding by Stockport Council’s Health Innovations Fund, offers Cherish, a free monthly support group specifically for parents, family, friends or carers of those with eating and weight distress.

The monthly groups are facilitated by Oakwood Clinical Lead, Joanne Blezard and are held on the first Monday of every month (except Bank Holidays) from 6-7pm at our offices in Davenport. The group is free and a drop in service, so there’s no need to book in advance.
